He was born in the Olney section of Philadelphia to the late Marshall McKinley Sample and the late Mary Caroline (Doser) Sample. She was also a former employee of Metal Sales Manufacturing in New Albany for 20 years.ĭarlene is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ernie Samples, daughter, Brandy (Paul) Tungett, son, Joshua Samples, granddaughters, Ashlie Tungett, Ciara (Adnan Ibrahim) Samples and Nevaeh Samples, her great grandchildren Yaqub and Bayan Ibrahim. Darlene worked at Ben's Bargain Center for several years where she was loved and respected. She has worshipped at Rockford Lane Baptist Church for 10 years. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Bert Kent, Johnny Schultz and Mary Drake.ĭarlene was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and Christian.
